The key to great food is great ingredients.  In today’s world of fast food, fashionable coffee shops, and pizza fuelled mopeds-sometimes that gets lost but we at the Atlantic Fish Bar never lose sight of the fundamentals to great fish and chips:  first class ingredients.

We select our stock of potatoes weekly and this stock is then transported directly from the farmers store to our shop.  The potatoes are peeled in house, and then the chips washed and drained ready for frying.  Unlike some, we do not buy in pre-peeled potatoes or pre-chipped potatoes vacuum sealed in polythene.  We do not pre-cook our chips ready for your order, we prepare our potatoes the same way as we always have, since the shop was founded in 1945.
